Walkthrough:
Speak with Marshal McBride in the abbey in Northshire. He will tell you the following:
Your first task is one of clensing, Elena. A clan of kobolds have infested the woods to the north. Go there and fight the kobold vermin you find. Reduce their numbers so that we may one day drive them from Northshire.
If you accept the quest, then head to the kobold camp just north of the abbey. There should be plenty of Kobold Vermin and Kobold Workers roaming the area. They are not agressive, so there is no need to worry about hunting right within the camp itself. Kill 7 Kobold Vermin and then return to Marshal McBride. He will tell you the following:
Well done, citizen. Those kobolds are thieves and cowards, but in large numbers they post a threat to us. And the humans of Stormwind do not need another threat.
For defeating them, you have my gratitude.
Hit "Complete Quest" and you're done! As a reward, you receive 130 experience and 25 copper. Marshal MrBride will then offer you the Investigate Echo Ridge quest.
